Leather binding and exclusive book binding options

Our leather bindings can be tooled in gold for a rich finish. The most popular leathers we use are goatskin and calf, which are both renowned for their texture and durability and are each available in a wide range of colours.

Your book can be bound in a number of ways:

  • Full bindings result in a completely covered leather finish
  • Half bound books have the spine and corners covered in leather and the front and back boards infilled with either cloth or marbled paper to match
  • Quarter bound books have a leather spine with cloth or paper sides

Our leather bound books are generally hand sewn on tapes for strength prior to head and tail bands, edge gilding or other decorative embellishments being added.
